Video of electric sliding timber gate

Sliding timber gates are becoming ever more popular here at Swan Gates, in fact, this is the second one of these we have installed this week!

Electric sliding gates hold many advantages, first and foremost it maximises drive space as it doesn’t need the large opening that traditional swing gates require.
Sliding gates could also be argued to be a more secure way of automating your gate as it restricts the ability for someone to force the gates opening.

The particular gate is an Idigbo hardwood gate, manufactured with a curved top and in the style of a traditional swing gate.

When we explore the option of a sliding gate with customers, it can sometimes be difficult to envisage exactly how they work.

So here is a working video example of how a traditional hardwood gate has been automated to slide.

In this particular installation we used BFT automation, an AES intercom system and installed our full safety pack which includes safety rib and photocells.
